The Town Hall, was built in 1902 and rapidly became the subject of photo postcards -- a relatively new style of communication in those days. The original version of this very early postcard was printed as a color lithograph from a black-and-white photo. It dates to about 1907. |

Panoramic or "Bird's-eye" maps such as this one were quite popular, and were produced for many of the local towns in the 1870s and 80s. Needham's two maps, one showing the Center and the other showing Highlandville, depict all of the streets, landmarks and significant dwellings of the period. Approximately 26" x 22". |
