| The current Baptist congregation was established in 1856. This church was built in 1871, and originally stood at the corner of Highland and Great Plain Avenues, now the location of the Sovereign Bank. The long road at the right edge of the photo is Great Plain Avenue, looking east. The building was lifted and moved to its present site in 1928. |
